Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 October 2026
In short. Meowdy is a music bot for Discord. Use it for what it's for, don't abuse it, and follow Discord's rules. The free features are free; Premium is a subscription you can cancel whenever you want. We do our best to keep it running, without promising it never breaks.
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to the Meowdy Discord bot and to this website (together, “the service”), operated by the operator of Meowdy (“we”). By adding the bot to a server, using its commands or logging in here, you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
2. Using the service
You need a Discord account, and you must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines whenever you use Meowdy. Server admins are responsible for how the bot is configured and used on their server.
You agree not to:
- flood the bot with commands, or try to overload or disrupt it;
- look for or exploit security flaws, or get around limits such as the Premium checks;
- use it to play or spread content that is illegal, hateful, or that you have no right to use;
- resell or rent access to the service, or pass off the bot as your own.
We may block a user or a server from the service if these rules are broken.
3. Music and third-party content
Meowdy doesn't host any music. It finds and plays content from other services (YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp and others) at your request. That content belongs to its owners, and those services' own terms apply to it. We aren't responsible for what is available there, or for a track that becomes unavailable.
You are responsible for what you ask the bot to play.
4. Premium
- What it is. A paid plan belongs to the member who bought it. It unlocks the premium commands on the servers that member activates it on, up to the number of servers of the plan. The current plans and prices are on the Premium page.
- Payment. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Discord. We never see or store your payment details.
- Renewal and cancellation. A plan renews until you cancel it in your Discord subscription settings. After cancelling, it stays active until the end of the period already paid.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Discord under its own refund policy. If something went wrong with your plan, write to us through the server where you use Meowdy, whose admins can reach us and we'll help.
- Changes. We may change what the plans include or their price. A price change never applies to a period you already paid for.
- Abuse. A plan obtained by fraud, or used to break these terms, can be withdrawn without refund.
5. Availability
We work to keep Meowdy online and working, but the service is provided as it is. It depends on Discord and on the music sources above, any of which can change or stop without warning. Features can be added, changed or removed. We can't promise the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
6. Your data
What we store and why is explained in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, for lost data, or for anything caused by Discord, by a music source, or by how a server chose to configure the bot. Where we are liable, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem. Nothing here removes rights that the law gives you as a consumer.
8. Ending use
You can stop at any time: remove the bot from your server, cancel your plan in Discord, and ask us to delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We can end or suspend the service, or your access to it, if these terms are broken or if the service is discontinued; in that last case, running plans are no longer renewed.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. For a significant change, we'll announce it before it applies. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms: write to us through the server where you use Meowdy, whose admins can reach us.
