Privacy Policy

In short. Meowdy keeps what it needs to play music and remember your choices: your Discord ID, the songs you like, your playlists, and what was played on each server. It doesn't record voice channels, doesn't read your messages, shows no ads and sells nothing to anyone. You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time.
1. Who is responsible
Meowdy is a Discord music bot with a web dashboard, operated by the operator of Meowdy (“we”). This policy covers both the bot and this website.
You can reach us through the server where you use Meowdy, whose admins can reach us.
2. What we store

| Current session | While the bot is in a voice channel: the queue, who requested each track (ID and display name), the volume and similar settings, so playback can resume after a restart. Deleted when the bot leaves. |
| Server settings | What a server's admins configured: allowed channels, DJ roles, queue rules, and so on. These are Discord channel and role IDs. |
| Premium | Whether you have a plan, which one, until when, and on which servers you activated it. We never see or store payment details: payments are handled by Discord. |
| Dashboard login | When you log in here: your Discord ID, display name, avatar, and the list of servers you can manage. Kept for 7 days at most, or until you log out. |
3. What we don't collect
- No voice recording. The bot sends audio to a voice channel; it never listens to or records it. It only knows who is in the channel, in memory, to run vote-skips and to leave an empty channel.
- No message reading. The bot works through slash commands and buttons. The one exception is a server's dedicated music channel, if its admins set one up: messages typed there are read to find the track, deleted, and not stored.
- No email address, no password, no payment details. Logging in here goes through Discord, which only tells us who you are and which servers you manage.
- No analytics, no advertising trackers.
4. Why we use it
Only to provide the service: playing what you ask for, remembering your likes and playlists, showing stats, applying each server's settings, and checking who may manage a server on the dashboard. If you are in the European Union, the legal basis is the performance of the service you asked for and, for keeping it secure and working, our legitimate interest.
5. Other services involved
To do its job, the bot passes limited information to other services. None of them receive your Discord ID unless stated.

| AI DJ | When someone uses the /dj command, the text they typed, the track currently playing and the server's most played tracks are sent to Anthropic to build a setlist. |
| Hosting | The bot, its database and this website run on servers we rent in the European Union. |
We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it for advertising.
6. How long we keep it
- Likes, playlists, play history and blind test points: until you ask us to delete them, or until the bot is shut down.
- The current session: deleted as soon as the bot leaves the voice channel.
- Dashboard logins: 7 days at most.
- Premium records: for as long as the plan runs, then removed.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data attached to your Discord ID, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us through the server where you use Meowdy, whose admins can reach us with your Discord ID, from the account concerned so we know the request is yours. We answer within 30 days.
You can also remove a like with the heart button, delete your own playlists with /playlist delete, and log out of this site at any time. If you are in the European Union and think we handled your data wrongly, you can complain to your data protection authority.
8. Cookies
This site uses a single cookie, which keeps you logged in. It is strictly necessary for the dashboard to work, so there is no cookie banner. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Security
The database is only reachable from the bot and this website. Only people who manage a server on Discord can see or change that server's settings here. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't hold anything beyond what's listed above.
10. Children
Meowdy follows Discord's own age rules: you must be old enough to use Discord in your country (13 at least). We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. For a significant change, we'll announce it before it takes effect.
